History of League Badge

In October 1963 Ron Wiltshire decided to form a new football league in South East London. Ron sought the services of John Hyam to form the league.
It was decided to name the League the Delphis Sunday Football League. Delphis is the ancient Greek word for fish.

The original badge was in the shape of a shield, In the centre of the shield was a fish on a background of alternate maroon and blue waves. The League colours were decided upon because the founder of the League Ron Wiltshire was the scout for Aston Villa covering South East London and Kent.

The Concept of the League was to house teams from South East London. However, in the late 1960's quite a few teams from the borders of Kent joined the League. For this reason in 1970 it was decided to change the name of the League to the London and Kent Border Football League (Incorporating the Delphis Sunday Football League).
To Reflect this Ron Wiltshire designed a new badge consisting of the coat of arms of the city of London in the top left hand corner and opposite the horse of Kent and the redesigned Delphis badge at the foot of the badge, and at the same time changed the colours of the League to blue and White.
The redesigned badge of the 1970 is still our badge to this day.
